34.
Just on the cusp of being halfway to 40. ( I do this kind of math in my head all the time )
A few updates:
1. Baby is fine. We went on Thursday for our last sonogram and all looks well. You can clearly see some of her features now and I'm pretty sure she'll be the prettiest baby ever. ( And I am, of course, completely objective in this matter )
2. My car's AC is now fixed. If any of you are compiling a list of effective means of torture for me, you can put placing me in a car in Austin in August with no AC in the number one spot.
3. I have the worst sunburn of my life. This is because prior to spending 7 hours at Schlitterbahn with my goddaughter, I refused sun block. It was offered to me and I refused. I am not a smart man.
4. There's been an onslaught lately of people from high school contacting me via Myspace. It's bizarre, though most of the people have turned out pretty normal, which is nice.
5. It looks like I'll be making a trip in September to Minneapolis with two of my best friends in the world to see another of my best friends. ( basically, it'll be all of my old band Spilling Poetry, minus one. ) Should be a really, really good time. UPDATE! It may actually be all five of us which would be a motherfuckin' HOOOOOOOT. My fingers are crossed.
6. If you know anyone who is responsible and has no animals and wants a super-sweet, 7 year old black cat, let me know. I'd prefer that it's someone in Austin and I'm totally willing to pay for her feeding and care indefinitely. She got really sick due to stress ( mostly because we have a very shaky balance of animals in the house ) and we've been feeding her through a tube for about three weeks. She's doing MUCH better and we won't adopt her out until she's eating on her own again and gets a clean bill of health from the vet. I Love her dearly, but if she gets this sick again it'll probably kill her. Again, the adopter would have to have no other animals and be willing to keep her inside.
I think that's it.
