On our first Mother's Day, we fled my sister's house in the middle of lunch to drive from Dallas back to Austin. We left so abruptly because my brother in law is a mouth-breathing fucktard who thinks yelling in a 17 month old baby's face ( my niece, who is a super-sweet little girl ) is what passes for parenting these days. Jen and I think that this is not a good environment for our baby to be in ( or us, for that matter ), so we left. We did so with the least amount of drama possible.
We stopped to get gas on the way home and there was a field of flowers behind it. Jen picked some.
I Love my daughter and I Love my wife and I'm incredibly lucky to have them both.
P.S. Fuck my brother-in-law.
P.P.S. I Love my sister, my niece and my nephew but, seriously, fuck my brother-in-law.
