On Palin and this whole thing.

Anyone that thinks teaching abstinence-only as birth control is a fucking idiot. It's irresponsible, dangerous moral grand-standing that is ineffective.

PERIOD.

Her stance on this ALONE allows me to dismiss her.

You can do the math on her daugher and her daughter's baby and how she's gonna take care of five kids ( one pregnant, one special-needs ) and be vice president. ( but keep in mind, she's all about "Family Values", right? )

As if my faith in humanity needed further erosion.

Have you noticed how this cunt barely ever touches her six month old baby? With the exception of the thirty seconds after her speech, someone else is ALWAYS holding that kid.

We have an abstinence only sex education policy in ALL of our local school districts.

Which explains why Lubbock has one of the highest teen pregnancy rates AND one of the highest STD rates in the nation.

The level of ignorance here is both unimaginable and perverse.

When you're rich and white, "family values" means paying someone else to take care of your kids.

(Getting a foreign au pair who can't quit and will work for lodging and a pittance is where the "value" part comes in.)

I like her. I think she's smart, sexy, and her hair is very versatile. She also wears cool glasses. I think she'll make a much better president than Bush did. I mean as soon as grampy kicks it.

Abstinence is only effective if the kids listen. Lubbock kids don't listen; that's the real problem. If they listened the bad things that come from having sex wouldn't happen to them.

And we don't say cunt, Morgan. It's not a nice word.

I have to disagree Scott.
Cunt is nice. REAL nice.

Kids are going to do what kids are going to do. Maybe not really, really young ones who aren't experiencing peer pressure and raging hormones ... YET ... but, let's face it, some kids are just going to have sex ... no matter what. I think it's DEFINITELY best to teach them how to be safe while doing it. Teaching abstinence-only might work in Talking Puppies & Singing Bunnies Land, but not in real life. Seriously!
