In my advancing age my musical priorities have become limited. That is to say that there are only a handful of bands who's releases I will immediately purchase.
Those would be:
1. The Weakerthans
2. Jimmy Eat World
3. Steve Earle
4. The Jealous Sound
All the rest of the bands I like have broken up.
And, goddammit, the Jealous Sound released an EP in October and I totally missed it.
I was so on top of this kind of stuff about 5 years ago.
Of course, "Got Friends" is awesome ( you can safely ignore the "remixes" on the EP ) and even though that dude pretty much writes the same song over and over it's a really good song.
Go listen to all the stuff he did while fronting Knapsack while you're at it.

Man, don't you know that parents are supposed to lose their Indy rock obsessions when they have their first child, so as to prevent the tragedy of their children's rebellion via watching MTV and listening to Pop Hip-Hop?! Do it now before you maim Lily for Life!
Or, just click here to read a comic that reminds me of you, and of the Rennaisance days in general. You may have to read it from the beginning to see why.
Did you see Blair accept his AMA last night and then give it to himself when he was fronting Knapsack?
I guess writing that one song over and over is better than not writing anything at all.
Honey, you still haven't figured out hyperlinks, have you?
It's here.
I've got hyperlinks figured out, it's the typing I'm retarded at.
We are old.
Yes, but we are sexy.
Yeah, aren't you supposed to like blues rock now?
Leatherhand's new record is on repeat.
Oh, and Tyson, I'm gonna look at the link you sent tonight.
Who is Steve Earle? I'm devoted to all the others but feel I must be missing out... is this music from "your generation"? And yes, fat dudes are AWESOME. I hope to plow one some day.
